Lydia,

I did not know what to purchase, but hopefully this will be enough to get you started.

I cannot remember if I said this yesterday, but you should create a schedule. Write it down in your journal. It is such a simple step that people often do not see the need for it. But I believe it would be most beneficial for you, especially now as you are going through this difficult time of transition.

On your daily schedule include time to read the Bible, time to write in your journal, time to write letters, time to design whatever you wish to, and time to do whatever else will help fill your days.

You should know, I am not looking forward to leaving Meryton. Which is a first. From the time I was a boy I couldn’t wait to escape the small town for the excitement and opportunity in London. My visits home are usually short and this trip is no different.

I would be lying if I said my desire to stay was not related to you.

I know right now you feel lost and that you feel stuck in the pit of despair as you call it. But I want you to know the worst is over for you Lydia. There is a better life on the other side of this.

I shall look forward to your letters. Below is the name of my housekeeper and my address so that you know where to send any posts.
